Wetland Workshop

Wetland Workshop is an upcoming educational game about wetland management. It was initially created for GMU’s 2023 October Hackathon, where it won second place in the up-and-coming category, as it was the first official game produced by my game design LLC, Three Beat Games. It is slated to release on Itch.io for free later this year, along with a suggested lesson plan.

SPOTLIGHT: The Background

Wetland Workshop is a culmination of many facets of my professional life. I have always loved science and education, and planned on being an engineer before my discovery of my love for educational game design. I even worked in a science museum as a STEM Educator. As a result, I am uniquely qualified to make something like Wetland Workshop, which is a marriage of game design, science, and education. That is not to say I did it alone; our artist was actually our subject matter expert for this game, as his degree is in forestry management!
